Congressional Race
Sadly, in this race we have only two very poor choices to choose from. When you look at where their money is coming from, we realize that they will be “politicians as usual” with little thought for their constituents. They are both what I call “on the take.” However, McClintock’s ads say Charlie Brown took more than $10,000 from Chuck Rangel. I don’t know why open secrets doesn’t show that to be true. Furthermore, were one to investigate the organizations that McClintock is taking money from, they may be able to draw similar conclusions. McClintock suggests that Brown gives Rangel back the money. I suggest they both give back all the money from special interests and only take contributions from their constituents and then agree to limit the amounts to no more than say, $500. Of course they both don’t have enough ethical backbone to do that. Either way, I think we’re going to be stuck with yet another lousy congressman.

State Assembly
- In this race, I find a man that didn’t even “show up for the interview” the year he won the office getting red carpet treatment for accomplishing little in the Assembly. I guess District 4 simply doesn’t care what goes on in the CA Assembly. This is a very sad state of affairs when nobody runs against him. It would have been the perfect year for a responsible independent candidate. CA doesn’t show an incumbents record.
