Events in
Rocklin’s History
2010 - Rocklin was named the 65th best place to live in the
US in the Money Magazine.
2010 - The City Council wants to invest $100,000 in
downtown businesses in the form of grants or loans for
facade improvements. This program may take from
redevelopment money and means our streets will continue to
go unrepaired. This is also a form of socialism that the
City has no business being involved in, especially if the
City Council gets to choose which businesses get the money.
You can imagine a quid pro quo relationship going on here.
I would absolutely never trust the City Council to do this
fairly, considering how they run their own political
campaigns. - mmuphy
2010 - Rocklin unified reports running a 6 million deficit.
2008 - City revenue declines by 38 percent - according to
Scott Yuill as stated by Carl Ahlberg of Rocklin in Placer
Herald 10/21/2010 letter to editor.
