Kathy
Lund, Rocklin City Council
Thanks
in part to Kathy Lund, Rocklin has been overdeveloped at
the taxpayers expense. Thanks to the current City Council,
developers get amenities paid for by taxpayers that they
can then turn around, and with the City's and Chamber of
Commerce's help, market to prospective buyers from Southern
California and the Bay Area. I am not against developers,
just against them buying my government.
It is important to understand that when you donate to a
campaign, the money may not go to the candidate, but
instead through the candidate to a charity or to another
political campaign. Giving the campaign money to very
specific charities is also a political tactic often
designed to win over specific voters. Your understanding of
these tactics will give you a better idea of what a
candidate is all about. You will see examples of this in
this report.
After a "cabal" member is elected, numerous subtle events
occur insuring his reelection by the uninformed. Council
meetings tend to host a plethora of awards to residents for
their so-called contributions to the City. Boy Scouts of
America are invited to lead in "The Pledge of Allegiance."
This is all in hopes of getting votes from them and their
parents. It's all about money and power for the "cabal' and
seldom for the benefit of the community. Right now, Rocklin
is in trouble financially for spending too much money that
went way beyond basic city services such as fire, police
and roads. In the end, we are to blame for electing folks
like Kathy Lund to the City Council. Our financial mess is
not an accident. This can end if we the people learn to
"stand tall."
About
this Report
This report is designed to save you the time of driving
down to City Hall to look at Kathy's 460 statements on your
own. There is more coming for the current election.
Research can be done to follow up on Kathy's own career and
investments as well as those of his major contributors.
You'll will find their names repeated whenever a "cabal"
member is running for office. Collectively, they have all
but destroyed the City of Rocklin, both financially and as
a community.
Disturbing Article
In the Placer Herald article entitled Ear-Marks are not all
bad, just play by the rules, we see how politicians justify
pushing their ethical boundaries. First, lets understand
that government takes a lot of money from taxpayers, by
borrowing or by printing it. Taxpayers may get some back in
the form of "pork" if they do what the Federal government
tells them to. Hence the rules Kathy is referring to. Kathy
cites the I-80 project money, local pork obtained by John
Doolittle. This money would go to expand the highway so
that she, her company, and her developer friends can then
do more construction and development. Then the traffic and
smog would be back in a vengeance while Kathy and her
developer friends make money. Of course this is not in her
article. She goes on to promote Doug Ose, who is a
developer to the nth degree. The reason that she says we
need these improvements is because she and her cabal
approved Rocklin's over-development at the tax payers
expense. She thinks that since the feds have the money
anyway, it's only proper for Rocklin to take its share of
the stolen loot. She and her "cabal" sets up a marketplace
for stolen loot. That is what she and the "cabal" do. In
the end it makes them money, too. No Kathy. All "pork" is
bad. It is destroying the country and you are personally a
big part of our national debt charged to our children. Your
government is bankrupt. The sooner you learn that, the
better council member you'll become. In short Doolittle won
us 72 million that the US Government didn't have to spend
and now. The final phase of the so-called project has no
funding. Kathy, like city council folks all over the
country, want us to beg steal and borrow to get that money.
Congressmen like Doug Ose have all but ruined America.
Again, it is inevitably up to "we the people." Until we
practice responsible and ethical standards of living, we
cannot expect our representatives to be any better and
folks like Kathy Lund will rationalize that two wrongs do
make a right.

"Friends of Kathy Lund"
Kathy's 2005 460 statement summary for "Friends of Kathy
Lund"
Kathy received no monetary contributions
in 2005. She made $245 in campaign expenditures and ended
the year with a $3196.69 cash balance.
Kathy contributed, from her campaign, $145 which included
her dues of $120 to the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce which
receives rent from the City of Rocklin for $1.00 per month.
This is an extreme conflict of interest.

Michael
Patrick Murphy's Conclusion:
Kathy Lund is a direct result of a lazy, uninformed and
irresponsible population. Being endorsed by the "cabal" is
not a good thing for voters. You must look at the
contributors and what Kathy had done once he was in office.
I
Doug Ose IS a developer! Kathy
has also used his non-partisan office title to endorse Ose
and other partisan candidates as part of the quid pro quo
cabal centered in Placer County. She has a huge conflict of
interest as she writes articles supporting Doug Ose, the
developer. Placer County and its Cities are now in deep
fiscal trouble thanks to its incumbent office holders.
That's why it is constantly seeking tax increases of all
kinds and that's why we have more homes available than
demand. Rocklin needs responsible government with a much
better city council. This starts with constituents becoming
more informed and responsible. We need independent
non-partisan responsible candidates running for City
Council that are not affiliated with the cabal and refuse
to take the money from developers and other special
interests.
